Thai Tran (M.Sc.) - Director

Thai was born in Vietnam and lived in The Netherlands for over 20 years. Since he obtained an MSc in Econometrics, Thai has been working in the Netherlands, Hong Kong and Vietnam. After having worked for several years as an IT manager for one of the biggest IT consultancy companies (Logica CMG) in The Netherlands, Thai established his own business in the stock market and real estate. Thai moved back to Vietnam in 2004 and became active in the identification of investment opportunities in the stock market and real estate, and founded a factory producing Vietnamese handicraft for export to Europe. Thai is fluent in English and Vietnamese and has a profound understanding of Vietnam, its economy and the challenges faced by project developers. Thai has Dutch nationality.

Joost van Acht (M.Sc.) - Senior consultant

Joost van Acht is an experienced economist with work experience in China, Japan and the Netherlands. His core expertise and interest is in Environmental Economics, the Clean Development Mechanism, Development, Industrial Economics and Innovation and Management of Technology.
Joost was previously employed at NEI and SEOR in the Netherlands where he worked on a variety of consultancy and research projects. From April 2002 to March 2004 he was associated to the Institute of Innovation Research at Hitotsubashi University where he did field research on innovation networks. Joost has extensive experience in CDM project development. From 2004 to 2006 he was responsible for CDM project development in Western
China
where he identified about 25+ CDM project that are currently under development. In June 2006 he moved from Lanzhou (West China) to Beijing where he is currently based.

Casper van der Tak (Ph.D.)- Founder and General Manager, Global Operations CvdT group 

Casper is an experienced development and environmental economist with work experience in China, Costa Rica, Germany, Indonesia, Japan, Kuwait, Mongolia, the Netherlands, Saudi-Arabia, Tajikistan, the United Arab Emirates and Uzbekistan. His main areas of expertise are evaluation and monitoring, development cooperation project related services (identification, formulation, inception, and implementation), development of CDM projects and climate change, policymaking, and economic (computer-based) modeling.
